Initial Review & Management Analysis:
At the beginning of our assignment, SwimJim performs an analysis of all aspects of the pool's documentation, lifeguard staff, cleaning schedules, chemicals, and pool equipment. This will result in identification and documentation of all pertinent issues and processes so SwimJim can assume and manage all or part of them. These finding will be communicated to management personnel in writing. This analysis may include recommendations related to equipment, machinery or structural conditions.
This report will result in a roadmap to an effective pool management plan - something that will save you time, money and aggravation.
Administration:
Perhaps the most challenging part of running a pool in New York City is the regular administration of regulatory requirements. The City Board of Health has extensive requirements for licenses, safety documentation and permits. For example, each pool must have and keep current a Pool Safety Plan that describes the dimensions of the pool, the number of permitted bathers and deck occupants, safety routes and emergency service providers. This must be constantly up to date and be available for unannounced inspections by the Board of Health.
SwimJim would administer all requirements for a Bathing Establishment as set forth by the Board of Health of the City of New York. Such requirements currently include the aforementioned Pool Safety Plan, licensing, record-keeping, inspections and problem resolution. We would communicate with the appropriate management about these matters by phone and in a quarterly report that would
describe any circumstances, problems or occurrences that might affect the pool's operation.
Lifeguard Management:
We can assume the difficult task of managing City-required lifeguard staff. We can serve as a resource locator or actively manage the payroll schedules and ongoing training of guards - it's up to you.
Pool & Pool Area Maintenance:
Our porter is available to clean the pool deck and locker room areas as well as maintain the pool during high traffic hours. Like the lifeguards, the porter can be an employee of SwimJim, Inc. and we will handle payroll, hiring and day-to-day management.
Chemical Management:
The management of the pool's chlorination & Ph and other chemicals should include daily monitoring and adjustment - even if you use an automatic system. We are experienced pool operators and know how to do corrective chemical applications as well as how to maintain mineral level that keep your water clean and your bather comfortable and happy.
Management Recommendations:
We can be retained as consultants for diverse projects such as capital improvements or changes in policies and process, or replacing equipment and machinery.
