Makeup Class Information and Policies

There will be one makeup lesson allowed for a missed class during any of SwimJim's sessions. Makeup lessons will only be allowed for lessons that were cancelled prior to the start of the lesson. To cancel a lesson you need to call the office on or before the scheduled date of the lesson. 24-hour notice is greatly appreciated so that the office may place students into available spots if necessary. The lessons must be taken during the current session in which you are enrolled. The cost for scheduling a makeup is $5 and must be paid when the lesson is scheduled. Cancelled Makeup lessons will result in the lesson being forfeited. Please read below for our policy on semi-private classes.

Protocol for Scheduling a Makeup:

1. Notify us that you are not going to make a class. You must call us, leave us a message or let us know poolside. If you don't, we can't offer you a makeup lesson.
2. Call us to find a time one week in advance when you would like to make the lesson up. We will be teaching every day of the week in 2006.
3. Pay the $5.00 makeup fee either over the phone with a credit card, by check or by cash poolside.
4. If you can't make or cancel the makeup that you have scheduled, you forfeit it.
5. All makeups must be scheduled within the current session of the missed class.
6. All makeups are subject to availability. If a makeup is not able to be scheduled, clients will not be refunded or credited for missed lessons.
   

IMPORTANT INFORMATION on
CANCELLATIONS, VACATIONS & ILLNESSES

Your child has a reserved time for his or her class. Please understand the instructors are there to teach your children even if your child does not show up. While SwimJim will do everything possible to find the perfect fit for you, it is your responsibility to schedule your lesson in a time that fits your child's schedule. We would be delighted to change classes for you at the beginning of the next session if needed. If you need to withdraw your child for an extended period of time due to illness or travel, please call the office for guidelines. If you choose not to follow these guidelines, your child will be removed from the class roster and you will need to reschedule subject to availability when you return.

SWIMJIM, INC. CANCELLATIONS
If SwimJim must cancel a class, we will schedule makeup classes or prorate your next session's tuition. In the event we experience a teacher illness or a problem with a rental facility, we will make every effort to contact you prior to your class. However we may not be able to let you know until class time. If a substitute teacher is available, the class will be taught as scheduled and no makeup lesson will be given.

HOLIDAYS
Makeup lessons will not be offered for holidays during which SwimJim schedules and conducts classes. We will close for Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, the Thanksgiving Day weekend and a two-week span over the December holiday season.
